Everton were shown on Monday evening that more signings will be needed before the window shuts.
It has been an issue that has plagued Everton for years now, but the Toffees really struggled in attack at Elland Road.
David Moyes made some attacking changes during the second half of the game, but to no avail.
Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry came on in that second half, which will provide Moyes with plenty of decisions to make ahead of Sunday’s game.
Moyes has admitted he wants more from Beto, but the striker remained as the starting forward for the trip to Yorkshire on Monday.
Having lost Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja, Moyes is open to signing two strikers for Everton this summer.
And there’s one player for whom Everton are set to battle Celtic in pursuit of.

Everton eyeing Jamie Vardy move alongside Celtic
It has been suggested already that Everton could make a move for Jamie Vardy following his Leicester City exit earlier this summer.
The veteran striker would replace Calvert-Lewin, with a lot of Premier League experience missing from the Everton attack.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton are just one of the clubs who are showing an interest in the former England international.
Alongside the Toffees, it has been claimed that the following clubs are also in pursuit:
- Celtic
- Rangers
- Napoli
Moyes also wants a new right winger to be signed before the window shuts at the beginning of September.
Arguably, that is the more urgent requirement on Merseyside, but adding attacking firepower is clearly still needed ahead of Sunday’s return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton need to find goals quickly
The season will not be defined by the first game, but Everton did struggle in attack on Monday evening against the newly-promoted outfit.
It has been an issue for Everton all summer, with both Barry and Beto not exactly setting the world alight.
Everton remain in pursuit of Tyler Dibling, with Moyes looking to bring in more creativity to feed his strikers.
A lot more will be expected by the fans on Sunday, given it will be the first Premier League game at the new stadium.
But the Blues are up against it if they are to bring in a new signing in time to feature against Brighton.
