Everton have been hugely unfortunate with injuries so far this season, which has left Sean Dyche with a rather thread bare squad at times on matchdays.
One of Everton‘s biggest issues so far this season has been the lack of quality up top, but the options at Sean Dyche‘s disposal have been limited, with Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti out injured.
Chermiti returned to full training for the first time this season yesterday, but he looks to be a way off still having spent so long out on the sidelines.
Broja is closer having been training over the international break, but he’s still got to go through a number of Under-21 games before Dyche gives him any consideration.
However, it’s a player who is yet to miss a game this season who is being monitored by the medical ahead of Brentford, as the Toffees look to be a bit cautious.
James Tarkowski being monitored by Everton
James Tarkowski came out and said he’s 100% fully fit earlier on in the international break, but it seems as if that’s not entirely true judging by Sean Dyche’s reaction.
He stated.
“I’m back to the way I want to be now. It’s took a bit of time, a frustrating period for the first few months. It’s not easy playing with niggles and injuries and not being at full fitness but it’s part of the game, there’s plenty of people do it. So, I’m feeling back to the level that I want to be, and I want to continue that.”

However, when speaking ahead of the Brentford clash, it appears as if the central defender is still under the watchful eye of the medical team.
Dyche had this to say in his press conference when asked if Tarkowski is 100% fit, as per BeanymanSports2.
“I mean the risk of the style of injury he’s had, he’s done well to play through the the injury and careful sort of adjustments from the medical team and from the specialists advised.
“And we’re still monitoring his training a bit, but he’s thirsty to train all the time and train hard, he was doing this week. We going to lower it a bit, and he said no I want to train.
“Yeah, and that real sharpness that Tarki has, you know, his early season was not quite there, but he kept going out there, and you know you can’t do anything other than sort of Marvel at his professionalism.”
James Tarkowski a reliable figure at Everton
James Tarkowski is yet to even miss a minute in the Premier League this season, so you can understand his desperation to train hard and continue playing.
It’s important that Everton don’t suffer any more injuries at this stage, as Jarrad Branthwaite is already suffering, which leaves Michael Keane and Jake O’Brien.
One thing that hasn’t pleased Everton fans is Tarkowski’s mentality after negative results, as he brought up the fact that the Toffees have only had one loss.
