A Fulham insider told iNews that Wilson has been offered a significant new deal from Fulham to remain at Craven Cottage beyond this season.

There is a belief that the winger is ‘leaning towards’ a move to the north west, where he spent his years developing.

The big question Everton need to assess is whether Wilson is capable of repeating his stellar 2025/26 campaign.

Wilson has been able to return 10 goals and six assists in the Premier League alone this season.

His highest-ever return in the Premier League before this season was four goals and seven assists in 2023/24.

There is no doubt that Wilson’s numbers have been solid over recent years, but he has now put himself in a position where he can ask for a big salary.

To give the green light, Everton would have to be certain he can reproduce this season’s return.
