Everton’s lack of transfer activity will frustrate fans but this worsens when they see targets secure moves to other clubs.

The lacklustre window for the Toffees continues as January looks like it’s going to end with a lull.

It comes with disappointment after Everton’s brilliant form in the Premier League, but David Moyes is likely to stick with what he’s got.

The Everton boss spoke in a press conference on Friday as Moyes said he’s ‘jealous’ of other teams signing players.

Everton supporters won’t be best pleased when they see who a potential signing has now joined.

Transfer target Arthur Melo joins Girona with former Everton stars

Everton made contact for Arthur Melo previously as the midfielder could’ve made a controversial move to the blue side of Merseyside having already played for Liverpool.

This was then denied with Arthur in talks to sign for Santos, but a deal never came to fruition giving the Toffees another chance to throw their hat in the ring.

However, this has now been firmly put to bed.

Fabrizio Romano announced in trademark fashion with his famous three words, that the Everton target has agreed on a loan move to sign for La Liga side Girona.

The Juventus midfielder will be linking up with former Everton players Donny van de Beek and Arnaut Danjuma which will leave a bitter taste in Evertonians’ mouths.

Everton can’t let another target slip as minimal time remains

Time is running out in January.

Everton need to settle on any sort of player that can help Moyes in their pursuit of staying in the Premier League.

Two additions are still expected at Everton but if you’re in an Everton fans’ shoes you highly expect that to be an underwhelming suggestion.

Who knows what will happen in the coming days, but Everton have to face the fact that signings are needed, and they’re needed now.
