Everton had a couple of transfer targets in action at the World Cup last night.

Everton are showing an interest in Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur and he enjoyed a good cameo appearance for England.

In fact, Spence was very influential in changing the momentum for the Three Lions as they advanced to the last four of the competition.

Toffees scouts would’ve also had a close eye on one of the Norwegian players as he’s believed to be on David Moyes’ transfer shortlist.

He too had a super game.

Everton target Sander Berge impresses vs England

Last month, it was reported that Everton are exploring a deal to sign Sander Berge from Premier League rivals Fulham.

It’s understood that Berge is considering an exit from Craven Cottage following Marco Silva’s departure to Benfica.

Moyes and his recruitment chiefs would’ve certainly been impressed by the Norway international’s performance last night.

According to Sofascore, the 28-year-old completed a quite staggering 96% of his 107 passes in Miami, evincing how elite he is on the ball.

How excited are you by Everton’s signing of Tyrique George on a permanent deal? Can he really kick on now after his loan?

The deal is now official, with the Toffees paying an initial £18m, with £6m to come in potential add-ons… ✅

Berge also made two key passes, so on another day he could’ve walked away with a couple of assists to his name.

The deep-lying playmaker, who stands at 6ft 5 in tall, made four progressive carries and four defensive contributions, too.

It wouldn’t at all be surprising if Everton’s interest in Berge starts to intensify now that his World Cup is over.

Berge likely would’ve been putting his future talks on hold until he returned from America, so this deal could now move at pace if Moyes decides to greenlight it.

The Toffees are also keen on Parma’s Mandela Keita, who is a different profile of midfielder altogether.

Keita’s playstyle has been likened to N’Golo Kante’s.
