Everton are really short of options in wide areas.

Everton seriously need to address the flanks in the summer transfer market, with Tyrique George and Jack Grealish returning to their parent clubs.

That said, David Moyes has been looking at Harry Wilson, with the Fulham attacker set to become a free agent at the end of the month.

Everton target Crysencio Summerville shines for Netherlands vs Japan

Everton are considering a move to sign Crysencio Summerville following West Ham United’s relegation to the Championship.

It’s understood that West Ham could sanction Summerville’s sale for just £26m, so there’s a unique market opportunity.

The Netherlands international was in action on Sunday and scored a superb goal against Japan at the World Cup.

It’s fair to say the international media were really impressed by the Toffees target, whose stock rose dramatically.

Here’s what Sports Illustrated had to say about Summerville’s performance.

7.8/10 – “Dropped deep regularly to receive the ball, far from the zones where he’s at his most dangerous. Nevertheless, he was still the Netherlands’ best attacker and scored a brilliant goal to restore his side’s lead—momentarily.”

Football Oranje added.

7.5/10 – “Our man of the match, Summerville was very impressive going forward in the first half. Created a huge chance for Malen.”

Livescore stated.

7.5/10 – “Brilliant individual goal, cutting inside and curling home off the post. Earlier booked for halting a counterattack.”

Goal said.

7/10 – “Showed quick feet in tight areas and put in a couple of dangerous low crosses that weren’t rewarded. Took it upon himself to put the Dutch back ahead with a fine finish.”

Everton are facing competition from Leeds United for Summerville, but one would assume there will be several interested parties after the World Cup.

Aston Villa and Liverpool have been linked to the 24-year-old previously.
