Everton are keen admirers of Ipswich Town’s Omari Hutchinson, but the deal happening isn’t a smooth transition.
Despite Everton’s clear interest in Hutchinson, it’s looking likely again that The Friedkin Group could miss out on another target.
Brentford triggered Hutchinson’s £35m clause, which was in his contract if Ipswich got relegated.
Due to this happening, the 21-year-old is a strong option on the market, and Everton seem to be slipping behind.
David Moyes has eyed this clause as well, but all might not be as it seems with Hutchinson having a big update on his future.

Everton target Omari Hutchinson set with absurd price tag
Moyes will know deals have to be worked out efficiently this summer, with The Friedkins wanting to comply with PSR restrictions.
It seems like Everton are at their strongest point in a long time regarding this, but there still has to be an element of working sustainably.
Kieran Maguire can see Everton spending £100m, and over a quarter of that has already been splashed on Thierno Barry’s £29m fee.
This will mean it’s probably unlikely that any fees emulating this figure will happen, potentially putting an end to Hutchinson’s pursuit, but he might end up staying after recent news.
Independent journalist, Miguel Delaney, has reported that Brentford will now have to strike a £40m deal for the young midfielder, as Delaney has been told the £35m relegation clause expired on the 30th June.

Only one of David Moyes’ Everton shortlist looks likely
As a deal for Hutchinson is likely to be over now, the winger will be intrigued to see if his incredible £40m fee gets paid.
Moyes will know, although they can spend it, that Everton shouldn’t be submitting a bid anywhere near the figure stated.
This will lead the Scotsman on to alternatives, as it appears there is one standout from a possible shortlist Moyes submitted, which included Hutchinson, Takefusa Kubo, and Tom Fellows.
A move for Fellows has gone quiet, and the only recent one that has legs is Kubo, and judging by his displays for Real Sociedad, he could be the best option on the list.
Everton fans would love Kubo, and it’s clear that, as an affordable and quality option, he’s the next player Moyes should sign.
