Everton are looking for a new striker this summer, and Wilson Isidor may have put himself back on the Toffees’ radar with his stunning goal for Haiti at the World Cup.
David Moyes needs to shake things up this summer, after a disappointing end to the 2025/26 campaign left fans very frustrated.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
Everton finished 13th, but the club could have secured European football had people been more clinical, and had Moyes perhaps rotated a bit more than he did.
Wilson Isidor was reported as a target for Everton earlier this year, and last night he scored potentially the goal of the World Cup so far.
Wilson Isidor has an impressive goal catalogue Everton may no longer be able to ignore
Haiti have finished bottom of their group at the World Cup and will not advance to the knockout stages.
That was to be expected, but last night they did score their first goals of the tournament in the 4-2 defeat to Morocco.
And the goal of the game came from Isidor, who picked up the ball in some space on the right-central side of the penalty box.

He unleashed the ball into top far corner, giving Yassine Bounou absolutely zero chance of saving it. Arguably, no goalkeeper in the world would have kept it out, such was the venom in the strike.
It was a great moment for Isidor personally, and one that will probably have several clubs looking back at his past work now, the goal was that good.
And actually, clubs could be very impressive with what they discover.
Because Isidor has steadily built a very impressive goal catalogue in recent years.
His goals tend to come from inside the box, but the 25-year-old really does have a knack of scoring in brilliant and beautiful ways.
Last year, he produced a terrific finish against West Ham United.
He scored a delightful volley against Oxford United in October 2024, after making a lovely run into the box.
A month later Isidor was back scoring another great volley, converting against Coventry City with a beautiful lofted effort into the far corner.

Against Blackburn Rovers, he scored with a backheel flick at Ewood Park, and against Sheffield United he finished off after a lovely surge into the box.
Essentially, Isidor – who is said to want to leave Sunderland – has shown he is a convertor of fairly difficult chances.
And that is bound to make him appeal to Moyes this summer. And if it doesn’t, then something is wrong.
Because it is invaluable to have a player who has the potential to score goals out of nothing.
