Everton fans are imploring the club to make big moves this summer – and one target’s quality has just been further emphasised.

After a lot of flirting, Everton missed out on European football, finishing 13th in the Premier League table.

Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?

The following names have been suggested by fans on TalkingPoints…

Despite so much promise, Everton have finished just one point better off than they did last season, with David Moyes overseeing a horrible seven-game winless run to finish the campaign.

The defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in the last game was truly awful, with a number of Everton players on the beach in the eyes of Gary Neville.

A big summer is now needed, and several positions are on the agenda.

Right-back will be one of the most important areas to address, and there is now further evidence that Neco Williams would be a great signing.

Last week, it was reported Everton were interested in a potential move for Neco Williams this summer.

Williams has been practically ever-present this season for the Reds, making a whopping 53 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and providing four assists.

The 25-year-old has missed just three matches this term and has completed the full 90 minutes 79% of his appearances according to the official Nottingham Forest website, which indicates his remarkable durability.

On Sunday, he was presented with the Player of the Season award at Forest, as voted for by their supporters.

He won with just over 48% of the total votes.

When you consider the season that Morgan Gibbs-White has had – scoring 18 goals and making seven assists across all competitions – this really emphasises the esteem in which they hold him.

Everton must swoop

Right-back is a major problem for Everton and it needs to be the first position the club address this summer.

Forest are not looking to sell Williams so it’s going to take a lot of money to prise him away.

But he has developed into a top right-back, and is someone who hardly ever misses games, and there’s a lot to be said for that.

Neco Williams fact file
Born – 13 April 2001 (age 25)
Position(s) – right-back, left-back, right wing-back, left wing-back
Forest appearances – 160
Forest goals – 4
Forest assists – 9
Transfer fee – £17m

What absolutely must not happen is that Jake O’Brien is kept at right-back.

He’s had some decent games there but it is so painfully obvious that he is better in the middle – in his natural position – and his partnership with Jarrad Branthwaite needs the chance to blossom.

But Forest are said to be looking to hand Williams a contract extension as a reward for his performances. If this happens, Everton can obviously forget all about a deal.
