Everton will be looking at long-term options to strengthen the future of the club under The Friedkin Group.

Many experienced figures around the dressing room will be leaving Everton this summer.

Ashley Young will be departing alongside goalkeepers Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia, with an array of other options considered, with Michael Keane potentially out the door as well.

The window could certainly provide new opportunities for players, but stars like Young actually wanted to stay at Everton.

Another player who will depart is Abdoulaye Doucoure who rejected a new contract, but with all these departures in mind, Moyes is looking ahead to the future with a younger squad and a new gem has been discovered.

Everton to have transfer battle with Arsenal for teenage gem

The future is looking promising under The Friedkins, and this summer looks like the perfect opportunity to kick things off.

Moyes is promised a healthy budget for transfers, and in the coming weeks, deals should be coming to fruition soon.

But behind-the-scenes work for future deals could be put in place, and Everton scouts are looking north of the border.

According to Rangers Review, Everton, among other Premier League sides, are looking into the prospect of signing young Rangers goalkeeper Rydnn McGuire.

The 17-year-old has impressed with the Gers’ academy and has been in and around the first-team squad.

Arsenal and Ipswich Town could be his other suitors, but it seems Moyes is orchestrating the move to happen.

It’s thought that Rangers are looking to recoup a seven-figure fee plus add-ons, should a deal be completed for him.

Moyes is preparing for Jordan Pickford’s exit at Everton

With the Scotsman set to be heavily involved in transfers, it comes as no surprise that a fellow Scot has been linked.

Of course, this won’t excite Evertonians too much now with it no doubt being an academy signing, but Moyes is clearly preparing for all eventualities in the future.

Jordan Pickford has been a mainstay for eight seasons now, and it seems like Pickford wants a contract extension after another excellent campaign.

The England international is looking more and more likely to end his career on Merseyside and brings more reason why Moyes is looking into the signing of McGuire.

With Pickford now 31, he still has plenty of time left in his playing career, but in the next five or six years, the transfer of McGuire could become handy with Pickford on the way out and the young Scotsman maturing.
