Jordan Pickford has been at Everton since 2017.

Everton shelled out £30m on Jordan Pickford during Ronald Koeman’s tenure, and it’s proved to be a great bit of business.

Pickford has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the country and is England’s number one.

Gary Lineker and Shay Given were full of praise for Pickford on Match of the Day last night, as he helped Everton to a 3-1 win against Fulham.

The 31-year-old is in the peak of his career and has now made a fresh demand to the Friedkin Group ahead of the summer transfer window.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford makes demand to Friedkin Group

Pickford is one of Everton’s most important players and will be a big part of David Moyes’ plans moving forward.

The England international has been a perennial point saver for the club and as such, he has now made a demand to the Friedkins.

According to Alan Nixon, Pickford wants to get his contract extended, which is due to expire in 2027, and is hopeful of a pay rise.

It’s understood he wants to see out the rest of his career on Merseyside, with at least a couple more seasons in his prime.

Pickford has a great relationship with Moyes, with the pair knowing each other from their Sunderland days.

Pickford worthy of an improved deal

If there’s any Everton player worthy of a new deal and pay rise, it’s Jordan Pickford, as he’s one of the best players in the Premier League in his position.

In fact, last month Chris Sutton admitted that Pickford could be better than Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson, who is regarded as the second best, only behind Alisson.

“I think he’s been an outstanding goalkeeper for England. I don’t think he’s ever let them down,” Sutton said.

“You could have a debate he’s better than Ederson.”

So with all that said, it wouldn’t at all be surprising to see the Friedkins grant Pickford his wish and extend his deal on Merseyside ahead of the summer window.
