Everton fans are back to urging the club to get some new players in after the superb win over Aston Villa.

The Toffees beat Aston Villa 1-0 on Sunday in the Premier League, in a result that not many people saw coming.

David Moyes tactically outwitted Unai Emery, with Everton delivering their best performance of the season to take all three points at Villa Park.

What will you think about TFG if Everton don’t address their needs in the winter window? 🤔

The pressure is on The Friedkin Group according to Alan Myers…

But Everton must build on that result. And there will be an expectation on The Friedkin Group to set Moyes up for the rest of the campaign.

A new striker and right-back have been the priorities for Everton.

But it seems a new winger could also be on the cards. But it seems unlikely that Noa Lang will be coming to Merseyside.

It was reported last week that Everton were considering a move for Noa Lang.

Lang currently plays for Napoli, and there has been speculation about his future. He has struggled for consistent minutes under Antonio Conte.

Everton seemingly positioned themselves as a possible landing spot for the Netherlands international. But a report today from Fabrizio Romano suggests that Lang won’t be heading to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Because another club appear to have stolen a march.

He said on X: “Noa Lang has already said yes to Galatasaray move after an important salary proposal sent tonight (January 18).

“Napoli and Gala, finalising the agreement on buy option clause value – NOT mandatory.”

This comes after claims earlier that Galatasaray would be bidding for Lang.

It’s also been reported today that Callum Wilson is set to stay at West Ham, after the striker was linked with Everton.

Moyes and his superiors still have a couple of weeks to get players in, but certainly so far it’s proven to be a tricky window.

Good news for Jack Grealish

With Lang mainly operating as a left winger, any move to Everton would have pitted him against Jack Grealish.

Grealish is on record as really liking life at Everton, and he is hopeful of completing a permanent move to the club in the summer.

Had Everton signed Lang, his situation would potentially have become a little more complicated.

Before the game with Villa, Moyes talked about Grealish’s dip in form at Everton. And that may well have had an effect on him, because he then had a good game against his former club.

The England international currently remains Moyes’ top pick for that left wing position, and the latest development with Lang will probably be welcomed by him.
