Jack Grealish should be worried as Everton eye £24m winger from league winners

The future of Jack Grealish at Everton is still very much hanging in the balance.

Having made the move from Manchester City on loan over the summer, the early weeks of Grealish’s time on Merseyside promised a lot.

In August, Grealish earned himself the Player of the Month award in the Premier League following a return of four assists.

However, since then, the 30-year-old has not exactly been able to nail down any consistency in the Everton side, with two goals and two assists coming in the following months.

After landing the likes of Grealish, David Moyes was delighted with Everton’s summer business under the Friedkins.

With expectations potentially higher for Grealish, the Toffees are believed to be looking at a left-winger who could potentially replace him in the side.

Everton eyeing move for Napoli winger Noa Lang

Due to the lack of goals coming from up front, it is believed that Moyes is desperate to sign a new striker in January.

There should, however, also be pressure being put on the likes of Grealish to provide some much-needed goals, with his tally of two simply not good enough for a player of his quality.

According to Il Mattino, Everton are one of the sides who are showing an interest in Napoli’s Noa Lang.

Would you even pay £30m for Jack Grealish? 🫣

It is reported that the Dutchman – who cost Napoli £24m – could potentially depart the Italian giants this month, with a host of Premier League clubs credited with interest:

Everton will be receiving Iliman Ndiaye back from AFCON over the coming days, but it is on the left side of the attack where more goals are needed.

A big decision lies ahead of Everton in the summer when it comes to the future of Grealish.

Perhaps the interest in Lang could well suggest that Moyes is already considering life beyond the 30-year-old’s loan stint.

Jack Grealish should worry over his Everton future

The last month or so has been a real disaster for Everton, with big-name absences resulting in a poor run of form.

It is times like this where Grealish needed to step up and show his quality given the levels he has played at in the past with Manchester City.

With two to his name so far, how many goals would make a good season for Jack Grealish? 👊

“I’m asking for him to score more goals. He’s capable of getting assists and we want that, I want him to get a bundle of goals as well.”

Instead, Grealish was petulantly sent off against Wolves, which meant he was unavailable for the defeat in the FA Cup at the weekend.

A return of eight goal involvements is by no means shabby, but it does not really feel as if Grealish has stepped up in the big moments for Everton when they needed him.

Everton are believed to have a £50m buy option for Grealish and that simply cannot be taken by the Friedkins.

He may have scored the winning goal against Bournemouth late last year, but the Blues really needed him in recent weeks and he simply did not show.
