Everton have an opportunity to add some further quality to the squad in January, but it could be in the summer where a big addition could be opening up.

Heading into January, there may be a number of Everton fans who are still not too sure what to expect from their side in the market.

Through injuries and other means, David Moyes has seen his options dwindle over recent weeks on Merseyside.

The Toffees are missing some key players, which has really impacted the results in the last two outings.

Angus Kinnear says Everton will be cautious in the January market, with signings not exactly promised to the Everton fans.

However, an update from Fabrizio Romano elsewhere could well interest Everton ahead of the summer transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano’s big transfer update will intrigue Everton

Since signing in the summer, Moyes has been delighted with Jack Grealish, who has returned to some of his best form.

His loan deal is only until the end of the season where Everton will then have to decide on a potential permanent stay.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are now ready to bring in a huge January addition with Antoine Semenyo.

If you were Dan Friedkin, how much would you be willing to pay Man City for Jack Grealish? 💰

The Ghanaian winger plays on the left wing, as does Grealish, which will only throw the 30-year-old even further back in Pep Guardiola’s thinking.

It is believed that Everton will look to negotiate Grealish’s buy clause to lower the rumoured £50m fee in the summer.

Romano thinks Grealish could stay at Everton permanently, with the 30-year-old’s future at the Etihad Stadium being thrown in the air once again.

Everton should not be paying more than £30m for Jack Grealish

Grealish has certainly been a positive addition for Everton this season as they moved into the new stadium.

However, there is still a lot that Everton will want to see from the experienced winger.

With two to his name so far, how many goals would make a good season for Jack Grealish? 👊

“I’m asking for him to score more goals. He’s capable of getting assists and we want that, I want him to get a bundle of goals as well.”

Moyes is pushing Grealish to score more goals given he has only offered two this season.

With a suggested £50m clause in his loan, there is simply no way in which Everton should be paying anywhere near that fee.

Grealish has been a commercial boost for Everton, with significant money already recouped through shirt sales.

But a lot more needs to be shown on the pitch if Everton are to offer Grealish a big-money move away from Manchester in the summer.
