Everton have three former managers at the World Cup in America this summer.
Carlo Ancelotti has been tasked with winning a sixth World Cup with Brazil, although he didn’t get off to the best start.
Brazil were held to a score draw by Morocco on Saturday, so they must ensure they beat Haiti and Scotland to advance to the knockouts.
Which Everton player are you expecting to have the best World Cup? 🏆
Ronald Koeman is the Netherlands boss, and he too could only get a draw in their first group game against Japan.
Lastly is Roberto Martinez, who leads Portugal out this evening to take on DR Congo.
That said, there has been a big development on Martinez’s future.

Former Everton boss Roberto Martinez set to leave Portugal
Martinez has been in charge of Portugal for three and a half years, and this will be his second major tournament with the nation.
However, before the first game has even kicked off, it has been reported that the former Toffees boss will step down after the World Cup.
Journalist Ben Jacobs posted on X: “Roberto Martinez will leave Portugal after this World Cup regardless of how the team performs.
“Martinez has already decided not to renew his contract, which expires after the tournament. He is open to a Premier League return, but hasn’t ruled out taking another international job either.”
The Portuguese federation quickly responded to the reports and stated that Martinez is fully focused on the task at hand.
“The FPF and Roberto Martinez are focused exclusively on the World Cup. The federation and the coach are aligned on this matter, as they have publicly stated.”
If indeed this is the final few weeks of Martinez’s tenure, there will certainly be a number of Premier League clubs adding him to their shortlist.
Ipswich Town and Fulham are currently without a manager, and there will no doubt be owners who consider the Spaniard during the season if their current coach doesn’t start well.
So, we could see Martinez back at Everton in the opposition dugout next term.
