A former Everton player is flourishing at his new Championship club after yet another outstanding performance.
The Toffees have a number of former players plying their trade in the second tier this season, with Ashley Young one of the more notable ones.
Young joined Ipswich Town upon the expiry of his Everton contract earlier this summer, whilst the likes of Tom Cannon and Ellis Simms are also trying to work their way back up to the Premier League.
However, one former academy player is standing out above the aforementioned trio after making an excellent start to the new season.

Preston fans blown away by former Everton left-back Thierry Small
Thierry Small came through Everton’s academy before being sold in a pretty sizable deal to Southampton as a 17-year-old in 2021.
Small is now with Preston North End and the young left-back is excelling in his new surroundings, having put in another top performance in the 1-0 win against Ipswich yesterday.
Preston fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to heap praise on the former Everton youngster.
“Thierry Small you are sensational son! Send Charlton another million I feel bad,” @Budgie2697 posted.
@thejdtucker added: “Thierry Small is sensational. That last ditch tackle…”
“We were f—— unreal today. Long live Lewis Gibson and Thierry Small,” @calumgill24 commented.
@town_endTitan said: “Small and Pol must have huge pockets, going to have a lot of wingers in there this season.”
Lewis Gibson also at Preston
Lewis Gibson is another former Everton academy player who is at Preston North End, having completed a £1.5m move from Plymouth Argyle this summer.
Gibson never actually made a senior appearance for the Toffees but was a regular for the under-21s, making 39 appearances.
The 25-year-old has established himself as a solid Championship centre-half and is a desirable profile, given he’s left-footed.
Isaac Price is another former player who’s impressing at West Brom as he leads the Championship top scorer charts.
