Ashley Young has now found his next club just weeks on from departing Everton as a free agent.
David Moyes waved goodbye to a number of players on Merseyside at the end of June.
Perhaps one of the surprise departures was Ashley Young, given the 40-year-old was still proving an option for Moyes off the bench.
Nevertheless, the two parties went their separate ways this summer, and Young has now joined Ipswich Town following their return to the Championship.
The veteran is yet to be replaced by the Blues despite Moyes demanding a new full-back at Everton ever since he returned to the club.
Everton’s players have now touched down in the United States, but Jake O’Brien has still taken the opportunity to share his thoughts on Young’s announcement.

Jake O’Brien shares two-word message to Ashley Young after Everton exit
Young looked set to return to Watford this summer, but a deal to join his former club ended up collapsing.
Playing in a Championship side looking to bounce back to the Premier League is an indication of where Young still feels his body is at.
And Everton’s O’Brien has shared his congratulations to his former teammate who has now secured his new club for the 2025/26 campaign.
Taking to Instagram, Young shared an image of himself in the new Ipswich Town home kit, where he said: “Not Out 🍷 🚜 Looking Forward To This Season.”
There were a number of players to respond to the 40-year-old, with O’Brien saying: “Congrats Youngy”.
Young all but confirmed his Everton exit before the club were even able to make an announcement.
It seems the full-back was left baffled by some of the reports doing the rounds. So, he took matters into his own hands and shared his thoughts on social media.
Regardless, he now has his new home, and Everton fans will be wishing him luck for the upcoming season.

He could prove a miss in some aspect for the Blues, but the Friedkins are looking to create a new chapter on Merseyside with their own players.
Adding to O’Brien’s response, there were a number of players from clubs far and wide to share their thoughts on Young’s move.
