During Everton’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspurs on Saturday, former Toffees star Richarlison scored a brace.
Everton managed to steal a point in the final stages of Saturday’s game at Goodison Park against Spurs. A 2-2 draw was a huge result and made it two games unbeaten.
The draw showed a lot of positives for Everton and left Joe Cole full of praise for Everton and wrote off any chance that the Toffees would be relegated this season.
For Spurs, ultimately they didn’t have that many chances and they should count themselves lucky to have gotten a point with Richarlison providing some moments of magic to score a brace.
Now, the Brazilian has been lauded for not only his goals but also the respect he showed toward Goodison Park.

Richarlison showed real respect to Everton fans after scoring on Saturday
While writing about his team of the week on the BBC Sport website, Garth Crooks brought up Richarlison and praised the respect that Richarlison showed to Everton.
“His goal, not to mention his performance in the 3-2 win against Brentford, was outstanding while his conduct having scored two goals in the 2-2 draw at Everton four days later was as respectful as I have seen from any footballer towards a former club.
“Not only did Richarlison recognise the significance of the goals, but the devastating effect it may have on Everton’s future.
“To put his hands together and bow in an apologetic gesture to the Gwladys Street End was about as respectful as it gets.”
Richarlison’s reaction to scoring seemed to suggest he was almost apologising to the fans in the Gwladys Street End. This is likely because he knows what kind of impact his goals could have on the club’s future.
How many goals did Richarlison score for Everton?
He may be among the goals right now for Spurs, but not long ago he was doing the business for Everton.
In his Everton career, Richarlison played 152 games for the Toffees, scoring 53 goals in the process – he also added 14 assists according to Transfermarkt.
He is a player who clearly has a lot of respect for Everton and he’s shown this with his celebrations over the weekend.
Since being sold for £60m, the 48-cap Brazilian international has struggled until recently when he has begun to show why he cost so much in the first place.
