Everton are looking to bolster their squad this summer, and reportedly have a captain from Liga Portugal on their radar.
David Moyes and The Friedkin Group have a lot to do this summer, after the Toffees so frustratingly missed out on European football.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
Moyes did himself no favours at all with his management of the team in terms of rotation.
But seemingly that was because he did have enough trust in the reserve options.
Therefore, Everton need more quality – and, seemingly, a new midfielder is on the agenda this summer.
Hayden Hackney is very much on Everton’s radar, and the Middlesbrough man appears keen for the move.
But it’s now being reported that Everton have eyes on Morten Hjulmand.
Everton interested in Morten Hjulmand

A Bola in Portugal have reported that Everton are looking at Sporting CP captain Morten Hjulmand.
Interest has been growing for a while in the Denmark international, but it seems the 26-year-old could actually depart in this next window.
A Bola say that Atletico Madrid really like Hjulmand, but have yet to make a proposal.
It’s then stated that Everton have also placed Hjulmand on their radar.
Atletico have admired the player for a while so it could be difficult for Everton to compete. But money is likely to talk.
Hjulmund has had a release clause worth €80 million in his contract, which Sporting had previously been referring clubs to.
However, A Bola suggested that half that amount would be accepted now, as per an agreement between Sporting and the player.
A Bola finish their report with a slightly disappointing line from a Toffees’ point of view.
How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩
They say Hjulmand would apparently prefer a move to Atleti over Everton, with the Spanish giants able to triple his salary.
So with this in mind, Everton may be better served fully focusing on Hackney.
Hackney is valued at £20 million by Boro, so he would certainly make a much cheaper option for the Toffees, who could then invest money into other positions.
