Everton forward Lewis Dobbin has now said he already absolutely loves new signing Youssef Chermiti.
Chermiti joined Everton from Portuguese side Sporting CP in a £15m deal and Dobbin insists that the young striker is a ‘great lad’.
Speaking with the Liverpool Echo, Dobbin says he hopes to form a ‘good connection’ with his new teammate.

Dobbin said: “He’s (Chermiti) a great lad who is young, like me, so I can relate to him, and we can help each other. I think we complement each other quite well because he’s more of a target striker and I’m more of a player who likes to run off people.
Hopefully we can form a good connection, and he’s definitely going to bring different qualities to the team.”
Dobbin and Chermiti partnership could be long-term answer for Everton as they mature together
Youssef Chermiti made his Everton debut during last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves, coming on as a second half substitute.

Indeed, it was a big occasion for young Lewis Dobbin too, who made his first Premier League start in an Everton shirt after an impressive pre-season.
With Chermiti just 19-years-old, and Dobbin just one year his senior, hopefully the pair can help each other settle into their new environments.

It is a big step up to the first team for academy graduate Dobbin, while there is a lot of pressure on Chermiti, and a positive relationship off the pitch could aid in developing a strong one on it.
The pair are two players who Everton are not only looking to in the present, but they could also represent the future of the club, especially if they form the ‘good connection’ that Dobbin is looking to create.
With Everton set to take on Doncaster Rovers this evening in the League Cup, it could be an opportunity to see the pair in action in Sean Dyche’s attack.
