Jesper Lindstrom was not signed by Everton last summer on the back of a hugely underwhelming loan stint.

There were many with high hopes for Lindstrom, who impressed during pre-season with a stunning free-kick for Everton.

The Dane failed to kick on following that goal against Preston North End in the summer of 2024.

Let us know your predictions ahead of Monday’s huge match on Merseyside! 😬

Where former Everton loanee Jesper Lindstrom is currently playing

Following his return to Napoli from Everton, Lindstrom was loaned out to Wolfsburg as his future in Italy comes under more doubt.

It has not been the loan move that the Dane would have been hoping for, though.

Lindstrom has barely played for Wolfsburg this season, in a near-repeat of his 2024/25 campaign on Merseyside.

The 26-year-old has featured 12 times in the Bundesliga which has provided just 373 minutes of action.

Lindstrom endured injuries whilst at Everton, and that has been another issue for him in Germany.

With three games remaining in their season, Wolfsburg are battling relegation as they currently sit in 17th position.

It looks unlikely that Lindstrom will be able to contribute towards their bid against relegation as he has been left out of the last two matchday squads.

It appears to have been a wise decision by Everton to avoid making his loan permanent.
