Everton could be about to receive a timely cash boost in the January transfer window through an unexpected source.
Everton is a club currently recovering financially after being hit with an unprecedented points deduction after the Premier League decided their Profit and Sustainability rules were breached.
After this, Everton was slammed with a 10-point deduction which left them sitting within the relegation zone. This didn’t last long as Sean Dyche led the Goodison Park side on a strong run of form to escape the drop zone.
But lately, three back-to-back defeats have left them on the verge once more, which has made January an important month in which some budget additions must be considered.
Everton is believed to have some wiggle room in the window, but now a report could suggest some unexpected cash is about to drop into Everton’s war chest.

Everton could be about to receive some cash from Liverpool
Everton’s possible cash boost could be about to come in the form of a former blue making a move the the red side of Merseyside.
Antonee Robinson has been attracting interest amid another very impressive season with Fulham in which he’s been an ever-present for Marco Silva.
One club believed to hold an interest is Liverpool, according to the Liverpool Echo, who are keen to strengthen at left-back.
Where Everton’s cash boost comes in would be due to the sell-on clause they have for Robinson, the percentage is unclear however it’s likely to see a decent amount arrive for Everton which could be pivotal in January.
Robinson departed Goodison as open talks with the club’s hierarchy saw him accept he’s unlikely to break through the ranks with Leighton Baines and Lucas Digne blocking his path.
The 26-year-old has since openly talked about his exit, praising Everton for giving him clarity. However, it’s likely something which is regretted by the Toffees.
Antonee Robinson’s career thus far
Robinson broke through the ranks at Everton but never made an appearance for the first team. This resulted in a series of loans, first to Bolton and then to Wigan where he began to pick up senior minutes.
He seemed to enjoy his spell with Wigan so much that he opted to join permanently in 2019. It was from here that Fulham picked him up in a move which now looks like a bargain.
It could all work out well for Everton though if there is a hefty fee exchanged for the USA international’s signature.
