Jordan Pickford is a man in form having put in two top performances on the bounce for Everton and now England against Greece last night.

It’s safe to say that Jordan Pickford‘s season to date has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. He started off the season rather slowly but has got better and better as it’s progressed.

Sean Dyche was told to ditch Pickford against Southampton after his poor start to the campaign.

However, he’s turned things around, saving the day against Newcastle with a penalty save against Anthony Gordon, as well as putting in a Man of the Match display against West Ham.

Julen Lopetegui was even left blown away by Pickford, as he labeled him as one of Everton’s best players after making a string of impressive stops.

The England international performed once again for his country on the international stage, and here’s what the national media made of it.

How the national media have reacted to Jordan Pickford’s England display against Greece

Jordan Pickford has turned things around with his latest performance against Greece, as it didn’t go well for him the last time these two nations met.

England fans were far from impressed with Pickford back in September, with some even calling him a liability.

The national media were really impressed this time round in a change of fortunes.

Here’s what the Express said.

8/10 – “A series of fantastic saves all night, including one to deny Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas in the first half. An even better stop second half to deny Fotis Ioannidis after perfectly timing his move off his line. Booked (for the first time ever in an England shirt on his 72nd cap).”

The Guardian stated.

8/10 – “Preserved England’s lead with fine saves from Kostas Tsimikas and Fotas Ioannidis. Booked for timewasting by an officious referee.”

Here’s what Daily Mail had to say.

7.5/10 – “Back in team after Greece horror show last month and responded with strong showing. Two huge saves at 1-0 and played sweeper-keeper role perfectly.”

Jordan Pickford’s performance in numbers away at Greece

Jordan Pickford started and played the full 90 minutes against Greece.

He made five saves, two punches, successfully completed all three of his run-outs, had 64 touches, a passing accuracy percentage of 79, completed 11 of his 21 long balls, five clearances, won both of his duels and was fouled once in what was a very impressive display.

Everton fans will be hoping that he can bring this form back with him into the Premier League after showcasing his ability against West Ham as well.

With some tough fixtures coming up, the Toffees are definitely going to need to lean on his experience.
