Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike has admitted the greatest striker of all time used to play for Everton.
Just days on from the Merseyside Derby, the Toffees find themselves asking questions about their current striker options.
David Moyes has chopped and changed his starting striker over recent weeks, and he is struggling to find a definitive answer.
Over the summer, Moyes said he was disappointed with Beto, but summer signing Thierno Barry has not exactly hit the ground running.
Over the years, Everton have seen their fair share of quality strikers come and go on Merseyside.
Just last week, Ekitike admitted he grew up watching Everton hero Wayne Rooney when he was just a child in France.
However, there is another former Everton striker who Ekitike believes even trumps the England legend.

Hugo Ekitike raves about former Everton striker
Wayne Rooney idolised Everton’s Duncan Ferguson when he was growing up, but there is another former Everton striker who caught Ekitike’s eye.
Speaking to Stan Sport, Ekitike admitted that the former Everton and Barcelona Samuel Eto’o was his favourite striker of all time.
Picking his ultimate XI, Ekitike chose the former Cameroon international who played 20 times for the Toffees.
“I would play with Samuel Eto’o as the striker. Thierry Henry right and Mo Salah as the 10 [left],” he said.
Eto’o signed for Everton back in 2014 on a free transfer from Chelsea, but he only lasted half a season on Merseyside before moving to Sampdoria.

His time on Merseyside may have been brief, but he did upset some along the way.
Graeme Jones said Eto’o disrespected those at Everton after not taking too kindly to being dropped for a game against Queen’s Park Rangers.
Samuel Eto’o loved his time at Everton despite early exit
Landing a player of Eto’o’s calibre was certainly a coup for Everton, albeit it came towards the end of his career.
After all, this was a striker who had played at the very top of European football for Inter Milan and Barcelona, winning four Champions League titles along the way.
Speaking in the Everton match day programme a number of years ago, Eto’o admitted he loved his time at Goodison Park.
“Honestly, signing for Everton was one of the best decisions I’ve ever taken,” he said.
“I was disappointed to be at Everton for only a short period. When I came I knew I was joining another big club, no doubt.”
