Everton are in the market for a centre-forward this summer transfer window.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to leave Everton upon the expiry of his contract in June, ending a pretty hit-and-miss nine-year stay on Merseyside.

Newcastle United and Arsenal have both been linked with a move for Calvert-Lewin, so he won’t be short of suitors.

Armando Broja will also return to his parent club Chelsea, so there’s little doubt David Moyes will make signing a striker a priority.

With that said, Everton have been eyeing Rangers Hamza Igamane, who has impressed in Scotland this term.

Although, Igamane has hit a barren run of form, perhaps the Friedkin Group will reconsider launching a £25m bid.

Alan Myers has now shared which striker he’d love for Moyes to sign.

Alan Myers wants Everton to sign Tyrese Campbell

Kevin Campbell sadly passed away in June 2024, aged 54.

Campbell was a fan favourite during his time at Everton and will live long in the memories of the Goodison Park faithful.

Some supporters have started to follow his son’s career, Tyrese, and Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers has been closely watching the Sheffield United forward recently.

Tyrese Campbell has enjoyed a productive season for the promotion hopefuls, having netted double figures.

The 25-year-old has just been awarded March’s Championship Player of the Month and Myers admitted that he’d love Everton to sign him this summer.

Campbell’s underlying data is really impressive

Campbell came through the prestigious Manchester City academy and has always been regarded as an exciting talent.

Now aged 25, it’s all starting to come together for the former England under-20 international, as evidenced by his exceptional underlying data this term.

According to FBref, Campbell ranks in the top eight per cent for progressive carries per 90 minutes compared to his positional peers around England and Europe.

The former Stoke forward also sits in the top eight per cent for expected assists, amplifying his playmaking abilities.
