Everton have seen a number of players depart the club already this summer, but one player has now just turned down the opportunity to leave.

Sean Dyche‘s side have made a strong start in the summer window with two new faces arriving at Goodison Park.

Everton were one of the Premier League clubs who faced the PSR scares once again this summer just months after being handed points deductions for the same issue.

The Toffees have seen several players move on already this summer with Ben Godfrey marking the biggest sale after joining Serie A outfit Atalanta to help ease the PSR concerns.

However, Everton’s opportunity to bring in a considerable chunk of change has now been rejected by one player who has turned down an offer to move on.

Everton player turns down Saudi move but may still depart this summer

Having seen the likes of Richarlison and Anthony Gordon leave the club in recent years, Everton are now stranger to selling their top players.

Even this summer, the Toffees have dealt with Aston Villa when it comes to allowing the young prosepct Lewis Dobbin depart.

And it now seems as if the Blues may have to fend off interest in another one of their players this summer with the individual keen to remain in England as he received interest in his services.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Amadou Onana has now turned down an approach from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.

The proposal is said to have been on a three-year deal which would have seen him make the move to the emerging league.

However, the Belgium international has flat out rejected the opportunity as he remains insistent on staying in the Premier League.

What other clubs want to sign Amadou Onana?

It is not just Saudi Arabian sides which are showing an interest in the midfielder this summer.

Already the likes of Arsenal have shown an interest in Onana but the Gunners are said to have their concerns.

Then there is also Aston Villa who are believed to be keen on the Belgian midfielder having also made a proactive start to the window.

However, the ‘incredible‘ Onana’s hopes of remaining in the Premier League may well depend on what type of money Everton demand for him.

History would suggest the Toffees are willing to deal with their Premier League rivals but only when the money is right.
