The Friedkin Group received some positive news last night as an Everton insider shared an update that will have fans believing the takeover is not so far away.
Everton could do with some positive news after another dull performance in the Premier League last time out against West Ham United.
The Friedkin Group are a busy bunch after sacking Ivan Juric at AS Roma, which many felt may push the takeover to one side for the minute as they try and find a replacement.
It’s been claimed that Erik ten Hag is being considered for the vacant managerial role, but that doesn’t seem as if it will come to fruition.
However, it now appears as if the Everton takeover hasn’t taken a backseat as it continues to progress, with some positive news coming out last night.
The Friedkin Group have now passed the FCA and FA approval tests ahead of the Everton takeover
Alan Myers has always stated that the takeover is set to be completed mid-December and he continues to maintain that point of views, as he provided a positive takeover update recently.
It’s now just down to passing the relevant tests, with the Premier League’s test the most daunting of all.

Now, it looks as if things are picking up and the completion of the takeover is getting closer, as a green light has been given for the FCA and the FA tests.
Everton insider El Bobble has provided the update on his X account, stating that the Friedkin Group’s takeover of Everton Football Club has now passed the FCA and FA approval test.
Extra pressure on Sean Dyche at Everton
The Friedkin Group have already shown that they aren’t willing to put up with bad results for too long having sacked both Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric already this season at Roma.
Sean Dyche has come in for some criticism mainly for how he’s got his Everton side playing, with negative football and a lack of possession even against sides like Southampton.
Wolves and Ipswich both picked up three points which dragged Everton closer to the bottom three, so there’s that extra bit of pressure after the international break.
Two points in three games isn’t awful, but when you consider the teams the three games were against and the football that was played, it’s a slight concern.
