The Friedkin Group could become Everton’s new majority shareholders, and it appears that they’re also making moves back in Italy.

Dan Friedkin looks like he’s set to become a new figure at Everton.

The Friedkin Group has agreed a deal to buy Everton, with it potentially set to go through by the end of this year or the start of 2025.

This is a welcome boost for Farhad Moshiri, who has been trying to sell Everton for a long time. At one point, John Textor looked the most likely candidate before he annoyed Moshiri.

Interestingly, it appears as if Dan Friedkin is more busy over in Italy at this moment in time, with one reporter in particular dropping an interesting claim on Roma recently.

Italian reporter says a sale looks like it’s in progress at AS Roma

It’s was claimed that Dan Friedkin isn’t looking to sell Roma but that now appears to be wrong if what the Italian reporter is saying is true.

ASRomalive.it have relayed comments made by Italian reporter Alessio Manieri.

He stated.

“The doubt that comes to me is that the Arabs have the possibility of making large sponsorships and putting even more money than the Friedkins thanks to their induced activities.

“When you put a lot of money in the strong team comes out anyway.

“If I don’t see high-level executives, I think they want to change hands.

“In a situation like this where there is no one in Trigoria, it makes me think that there is a sale in progress.”

What stage is the Everton takeover at?

Dan Friedkin is already excited about the prospect of getting started at Everton.

“It will feel like a tortuous eight-week wait for Dan and Ryan Friedkin as their £500million takeover of Everton goes through the regulatory process,” said Mark Douglas for iNews.

“Even though they have their hands full at Roma, where contentious recent decisions have created tumult in the Eternal city, there is – sources insist – a real hunger to get their sleeves rolled up and get started on Merseyside.

”’There’s a process to go through first but the project really excites them,’ one source close to the Friedkins told i this week.”
