Everton ended the 2025 summer transfer window with nine new signings as Merlin Rohl joined on deadline day.
David Moyes wanted 10, but the nine he brought in were all of real quality, so the Scotsman will certainly be pleased with what they’ve been able to do.
Jack Grealish is already producing stellar performances, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored his first goal for the club on the weekend.

Indeed, there are still areas of the squad Moyes will want to address, as the Toffees haven’t been able to do everything in one window.
So, with that said, it seems pretty obvious who Everton will look to sign once the January window opens.

Everton could sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles in January
Everton managed to strengthen virtually every area of the pitch, however, there was one position that Moyes couldn’t address.
Moyes wanted a right-back for the whole summer, and Fulham’s Kenny Tete was close to signing for the Toffees in June, however, that deal collapsed.
Barcelona’s Hector Fort then became the top target for Moyes, and it was looking like a deadline day deal was on the cards after he was left out of their matchday squad on Sunday.
But ultimately, the Toffees couldn’t get the deal done and he now looks set to join newly-promoted La Liga side Elche.
Lyon’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles is still available, though, with the former Arsenal defender keen on a return to the Premier League.
Moyes was exploring a deal to sign Maitland-Niles and come January, he will have 18 months left on his deal, making a transfer more feasible.
Certainly a deal that has serious legs to it.
Everton could also look to sign a striker
With Youssef Chermiti joining Rangers on a permanent deal, Everton are quite light up front as Thierno Barry and Beto are the only options.
Clearly, Moyes will be keen to get another striker through the door, having already looked at Millwall’s Mihailo Ivanovic.
Ivanovic was being linked to Everton after completing the signing of Barry, meaning the club wanted a third option.
Hamza Igamane was also on Moyes’ radar before he made the switch to Ligue 1 outfit Lille.
