Everton find themselves right in the mix to sign Manchester City’s Jack Grealish this summer.
Attacking signings have to be the priority for David Moyes heading into the final weeks of the transfer window.
There are signings gradually coming through the doors at Everton, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s services sealed on Wednesday.
More is needed, though. Thierno Barry is expected to become Everton’s starting striker, but Moyes wants
Everton have opened talks to sign Grealish, with the early indications suggesting how difficult a deal it will be to pull off.
Already, the 29-year-old forward has shut down the possibility of playing for one of the clubs to throw their hat in the ring.

Everton target Jack Grealish rejects Fenerbahce interest
Tottenham Hotspur are also keen to sign Grealish on the back of James Maddison’s season-ending injury suffered at the weekend.
Both Spurs and Everton have been handed a big boost as Grealish has already ruled out one potential landing spot.
According to the Daily Mail, Grealish has rejected the possibility of playing in Turkey under Jose Mourinho for Fenerbahce.
City are demanding Grealish’s full salary be covered in any loan deal this summer.
Fenerbahce are believed to have already put forward an offer to the 29-year-old, but he is not interested.
There is a belief that Grealish would prefer a move to Tottenham, given they are able to offer him Champions League football.
However, Everton remain in talks with the City forward, and there’ll be hope that the Friedkins’ ambitions can win him over.
Manchester City will have to concede on Grealish’s wage demand
The salary demand for any club to cover Grealish’s entire £300k-per-week wage will have to be dropped by City.
It is impossible to expect Everton, or even Tottenham, to stump up that type of money for a single player this summer.
The Friedkins want to make a statement signing for Everton, but they would have to draw the line if City do not concede on Grealish’s wages.
A big season is needed from Grealish, but City are not doing him any favours in demanding another club pays his full salary.
Grealish is not in Pep Guardiola’s plans for the upcoming campaign.
With this in mind, City owe Grealish the decency of allowing him to find the right club to get his career back on track.
