Everton were held to a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night in what was a very controversial game.

David Moyes was left raging with the referee, as he felt Michael Keane’s red card for the slight hair grab was completely unjust.

What on earth is the referee thinking here? 😡

ANOTHER shocking decision against Everton!

Speaking exclusively to Everton News, Mark Clattenburg felt Keane was deservedly sent off under the laws of the game.

There were a few positives to take from the game as Harrison Armstrong impressed on his full Premier League debut.

Wolves manager Rob Edwards was also left blown away by one Everton player for what he did in the 92nd minute.

When Everton went down to nine men, Pickford was really called into action as the hosts tried to hang onto a point.

In stoppage time, the England number one made a quite extraordinary save to deny Hugo Bueno from scoring the winner.

Speaking to the media after the game, Wolves manager Rob Edwards had nothing but praise for Pickford.

“It’s a brilliant save,” the 43-year-old admitted. “I thought as soon as it left Hugo’s foot it was in, but that’s what Jordan Pickford can do.”

Pickford was spotted remonstrating with the referee after the game, so clearly he was furious at the officiating.

Sum that up for us… 😡

Cannot believe how that second half panned out!

Everton are back in action vs Sunderland this weekend

Premier League action will be placed on hold for now, as the FA Cup third round commences this weekend.

Everton are up against Sunderland at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and fortunately, Jack Grealish can serve his one-match suspension in that clash.

Can you name the other three? 🤔

Still cannot believe Keane was sent of for this!

So, Grealish will be back for the next league game on the 18th of January, as Moyes’ side travel to Villa Park.

Aston Villa will be the favourites in that one, as they’re quite remarkably still in the title race coming into the second half of the season.

Moyes will be hoping Idrissa Gana Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are back from AFCON for that game.
