The winter transfer window is in full swing, and Everton have a shortlist of targets to work through.

Arsenal right-back Ben White is emerging as a target for David Moyes as the Everton boss looks to upgrade on Jake O’Brien.

Genoa’s attack-minded full-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy is also on the Toffees’ radar, as is Bologna’s Emil Holm.

Everton are keen on signing Brooke Norton-Cuffy… are there other positions more important than right-back this transfer window?

James Tarkowski may be concerned as Everton explore deal to sign Tiago Gabriel

It has been reported that Everton have made contact to sign Tiago Gabriel from Lecce this winter transfer window.

The towering centre-back has really impressed in his breakout season for the Serie A club and as a result, is attracting interest from several clubs across the continent.

Everton have made contact to sign Tiago Gabriel… do we need a centre-back? 🧐

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are among those interested in the under-21 Portugal international, so clearly he’s regarded as an elite talent.

That said, if the Toffees do manage to land Gabriel’s signature, he certainly won’t be joining as a back-up to Tarkowski.

The 21-year-old will more than likely be coming straight in to partner Jarrad Branthwaite, so Tarkowski and Michael Keane must be feeling a little concerned about the reported interest.

How much would Everton need to pay to sign Tiago Gabriel?

Well, according to Corriere dello Sport, Everton would have to pay in excess of £34m to strike a deal with Lecce for Gabriel.

Although, the Italian outlet claims Lecce are unlikely to consider offers for the defender this winter as they look to avoid relegation this season.

Thoughts on potentially signing Ben White? 🤔

That may just be a bargaining tactic to inflate his price tag, as they have deployed a similar tactic previously.

Their record sale is Patrick Dorgu to Manchester United in a deal worth around £30m, so anything above that would surely force their hand into a sale.
