Everton went ahead against Wolves but ended up being held to a score draw in what was a highly controversial draw.
Michael Keane put the hosts ahead with a clever diverted finish, but Wolves’ teenage star Mateus Mane responded with a great goal in the second half.
Keane was then shown a red card for pulling Tolu Arokodare’s hair, with many feeling it was a very harsh decision.
What on earth is the referee thinking here? 😡
ANOTHER shocking decision against Everton!
Jack Grealish received a red, too, and it ended in chaos at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Jordan Pickford seen remonstrating with the referee at the full-time whistle.
Speaking post-match, James Tarkowski sent a pretty stern message to Grealish.

Everton’s James Tarkowski frustrated with Jack Grealish’s lack of composure vs Wolves
Tarkowski spoke to Everton’s media team after the game and admitted that he was frustrated by Grealish’s lack of composure, which led to him getting a second yellow and a red card.
“Jack will hold his hands up and say he’s got to remain composed there because we need our players on the pitch at that point – it’s difficult enough with 10 men, nevermind nine,” the former Burnley defender explained.
“I’m sure he’ll be disappointed because we needed him on the pitch at that moment, but we dealt with it in the end.”
Who takes the Man of the Match for you? 😬
Fortunately for Everton, Grealish is only banned for one game and that can be served this weekend in the FA Cup, when Moyes’ side host Sunderland.
James Tarkowski concerned by Everton’s home form
Tarkowski also touched on the performance as a whole and noted that the home form is becoming a real issue.
“We need to start winning at home again. Going in at half-time at 1-0, we’ve got to go and pick up the three points from that position.
“The first half we played okay, we didn’t play great but we had the 1-0 lead and then they made a change at half-time and we lost our way a little bit.
How did you think Harrison Armstrong played vs Wolves? 🧐
“It was a poor goal to concede, getting played through the middle like that, which is the worst way to concede a goal.
“But then it’s not often you spend the final minutes with nine men, so we see out the point and have to move on.”
The Toffees have now won just one of their last six Premier League games and have slipped into the bottom half of the table.
