Everton are preparing themselves for a transformative summer both on and off the pitch.

David Moyes has done well with the squad he inherited from Sean Dyche back in January to avoid the relegation battle.

Although still sitting around the bottom end of the table, Moyes was able to pull Everton clear of the relegation scrap with plenty of time to spare.

Everton have already held transfer meetings to discuss their wants and needs for the summer window.

Moyes has done well with the squad of players he has, the Friedkins will be expecting a lot more going forward with their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Ahead of the move, James Tarkowski has now provided an insight as to what he is expecting to come from the summer transfer window.

James Tarkowski shares TFG transfer insight from Everton

Since returning to the club in January, Moyes has wanted to add a new full-back among other players to bolster his squad depth.

But with so many players potentially leaving at the end of their contracts, the Toffees are going to need both squad options and quality to improve the starting XI.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, Tarkowski shared his expectations for the Friedkins’ first summer transfer window at the club.

“There’s going to be change. There’s definitely going to be change. How big and drastic that will be only time will tell, but, for sure, there’s going to be change within the club,” he said.

“I think it’s just exciting times ahead for Evertonians and we should be excited because it’s been tough for the last two or three years.”

Everton are set to be backed by the Friedkins who have put aside a significant transfer budget to be spent by the Blues.

With PSR less of a concern this summer, it will be interesting to see the extent of the summer business by the new owners.

Everton could benefit from a statement signing

Going into the new stadium, the Friedkins wants Everton to make a statement signing which would really excite the fans.

There has been plenty of talk about a potential return for Richarlison, but there have to be serious questions whether this would be a smart move.

Everton are going to need plenty of new signings with their contract situation potentially going to hit the club in the coming weeks.

But there has to be a considerable increase in quality to avoid another relegation scrap in their state-of-the-art new home.
