Everton face a big decision over the coming days regarding Sean Dyche’s future but sacking him could turn out to be a big mistake.
There is plenty to ponder for new Toffees owners, The Friedkin group, as Everton’s Premier League standing has fans in uproar, and aren’t happy with Sean Dyche’s position as manager.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 13 | 20 | 6 | 5 | 9 | 23 | 28 | -5 | 23 | |
| 14 | 20 | 6 | 5 | 9 | 24 | 39 | -15 | 23 | |
| 15 | 20 | 4 | 9 | 7 | 21 | 28 | -7 | 21 | |
| 16 | 19 | 3 | 8 | 8 | 15 | 25 | -10 | 17 | |

| 18 | 20 | 3 | 7 | 10 | 20 | 35 | -15 | 16 |
The latest stance from The Friedkin Group is that Dyche will stay at Everton until a CEO is appointed to make the hard-hitting decisions.
Graham Potter could be a target for Everton if Dyche was to be sacked, but pundit, Jamie Carragher has revealed why Everton would want to think twice before replacing Dyche.

Jamie Carragher issues relegation fear for Everton if Sean Dyche is sacked
On Monday Night Football, Carragher detailed Everton’s scenario with Dyche and examined why the Everton boss should stay in charge at Goodison Park.
“There’s definitely a divide between Everton supporters. One side is saying whether they want Dyche to leave right now or whether they want a new manager at the end of the season.
“After keeping Everton up for two seasons, the big worry you’ve got is, they could get relegated with a new manager coming in.
“Evertonians will be looking at it and thinking, this isn’t good enough for Everton football club. 19 games this season and they’ve only won three.
“For me, I would keep Dyche in that position, the fact they’ve got the stadium coming, it’s imperative that they stay in this division for next season, and I wouldn’t say Dyche guarantees it, but his past gives you a great chance of staying in the division.”
Dyche has a strong record but Everton’s football isn’t sustainable
There is no denying that Dyche doesn’t have a history of keeping his clubs in the Premier League, he’s endured one relegation in his 13-year-long career and he’s shown the recipe for safety at Everton.
| Dyche’s last five season finishes as a Premier League manager | |
| Everton 23/24 | 15th |
| Everton 22/23 | 17th |
| Burnley 21/22 | 18th (only relegation) |
| Burnley 20/21 | 17th |
| Burnley 19/20 | 10th |
Tony Bellew doesn’t think anyone could save Everton, as the Everton fan has also backed Dyche to stay in charge.
Although there are supporting factors as to why Dyche should stay, in the long-term, his football isn’t sustainable for Everton.
An alarming stat appeared on Monday Night Football with the Toffees only scoring 26 goals from open play since the start of last season putting them 17th, West Ham who are in 16th, have scored 56.
You can see both sides of the story, and now The Friedkin Group will have to decide on taking a risk or seeing it out for the rest of the season.
