Everton and West Ham find themselves battling for players ahead of the summer transfer window.
There is not a great deal between the two sides in the Premier League table, but Everton have been able to pull above them in recent weeks.
David Moyes has transformed Everton’s fortunes after making his return to Merseyside in January.
And in the process, he has piled the misery on his former side who are struggling to find their feet under Graham Potter.
Ironically, Everton looked to appoint Potter, but he decided he preferred the idea of making the move to the London Stadium.
With a gap formed between the two sides in the table, Jamie Carragher has commented on the tension between the two fan bases.

Jamie Carragher knows why West Ham fans don’t like Everton
Carragher previously said Potter wasn’t a good fit for Everton and that has certainly proven to be the case with what he has shown at West Ham.
The 49-year-old has really struggled to get a tune out of his side.
Speaking on The Overlap, a forced rivalry between these two sides was discussed, but Carragher thinks he knows why West Ham fans won’t like Everton.
Responding to the debate, Carragher very simply said: ‘Moyes’.
His suggestion is West Ham fans will now be feeling their club has made a considerable mistake in moving on from Moyes for two managers who have failed to excite.
Potter made a strange excuse against Everton just a few weeks ago after the two sides ended their meeting at Goodison Park in a draw.
But it is clear which of the two sides will be happiest about their managerial decisions made back in January.
Why Graham Potter chose West Ham over Everton
Looking back on the decision, Everton fans will be delighted to have Moyes in their dugout after the previous three months of results.
The Toffees have now secured Premier League survival ahead of their move into Bramley-Moore Dock in the summer.
Tomas Soucek is now warning Potter he could leave for Everton, which would really sum up the difference between the two sides in terms of their direction.
But Potter did admit why he chose to join West Ham earlier this season and it would be interesting to know whether he regrets his choice.
“I think I got linked to quite a lot of jobs. If I believed all that was out there, it would be strange,” he said.
“So, no, I’ve said man times that I spoke with lots of clubs and lots of people during my time off and, out of respect for them, I will keep everything to myself as I have that right as a private person.”
