Jesper Lindstrom has already noticed something amazing about Everton after completing his move from Napoli on Friday morning.

Everton reportedly paid the Serie A club a £2million loan fee and have the option to make the move permanent for £19million.

Lindstrom, who plays as a winger, will add much-needed depth out wide for Sean Dyche, although Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto still remains a genuine target.

Speaking after capturing the signing of the Dane, Dyche told Everton’s website: “Jesper is a player with very good ability who can operate in a number of different attacking roles, which will benefit us heading into the new season.”

With the 2024/25 season set to be Everton’s last at Goodison Park, Lindstrom has spoken about the Toffees’ ancestral home and the prospect of playing in the brand-new Bramley-Moore Dock construction.

On Goodison Park, he said: “It’s going to be so good for the Club to be in the new stadium, but the history of Goodison is special, especially for the fans who have been here for so many years.”

Lindstrom added: “I think the new stadium will allow us to be on the best level and a bigger one for more fans to come – it looks amazing, but I’m very happy that I get to start at Goodison because I want to have this feeling of the history, what it means to the fans and enjoy that environment.

“I’m very happy that I get to play here, and hopefully, I get to play in the new stadium next year as well.”

Everton’s next transfer move

A winger was non-negotiable for Dyche heading into the summer, and now that void has been filled, the Everton boss can begin to plot his next transfer move.

Former Tottenham defender Davison Sanchez is reportedly a target, and the Colombian has spoken of his pride in being linked with Everton.

Lyon defender Jake O’Brien is on Dyche’s radar, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a defender prioritised next.

With Jarrad Branthwaite’s future still very much up in the air, adding cover in case the Cumbrian departs feels like a smart idea.
