Everton have now been named as one of the Premier League clubs to register their interest in Johan Bakayoko.
Pre-season is now well underway at Everton, with the Toffees preparing for their first friendly of the summer on Tuesday.
David Moyes is not going to have any new players to select, given that Carlos Alcaraz was an Everton player for the second half of last season.
The Blues have, of course, signed Thierno Barry, but the striker only landed at Finch Farm earlier this week to seal his move.
Moyes has been impressed with Everton’s training, and players like Beto have received praise from the 62-year-old.
But more additions are needed, and Bakayoko has provided a big hint as to where he’d be open to joining Everton this summer.

Johan Bakayoko wants Champions League football amid Everton interest
On Friday evening, the reliable Fabrizio Romano claimed Everton had opened discussions for Bakayoko.
The Toffees are not the only Premier League side to be showing an interest in the Belgium international, though.
According to Kicker, the winger is looking for a club that could offer him Champions League football this summer.
Along with other Premier League sides, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign Bakayoko.
The two German sides are seemingly holding an early advantage as they will both be playing Champions League football this season.
Everton hope their new stadium will attract players, but there are a number of targets who are hoping to be playing European football.
It’s the same story with Jack Grealish, who also wants Champions League football, with Everton showing an interest.
Everton will want a winger signed for pre-season tour
Moyes has been pushing for a new winger since January, with a real emphasis put on improving their attack this summer.
Investing £27m in a new striker will certainly provide some fans with optimism, but there will also be a requirement to provide Barry with support from out wide.
Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom underwhelmed last season, and improvements will be targeted.
Having a new right-winger on Merseyside ahead of the pre-season trip to the United States will be important to Moyes.
But time is ticking by to get more new additions on board before the Summer Series.
