Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has issued a public apology to the Everton supporters on the back of his first season at the club.

The 27-year-old midfielder was arguably one of the best signings in the Premier League this season.

Having signed for Everton from Chelsea, Dewsbury-Hall was able to return eight goals and six assists in the Premier League alone.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s Everton apology speaks volumes

Dewsbury-Hall has shared his frustrations over social media this week after hearing incorrect rumours about his international future.

The 27-year-old has now commented on the manner in which Everton ended their 2025/26 season.

“Awful end to the season after a promising campaign, miles off it to be honest,” he said on Instagram.

“A long summer now to review and come back bigger and better next year. Thanks for all the love in my 1st season here.”

Moyes said Dewsbury-Hall’s levels had dropped during the run-in, which is arguably true, but it may also come down to the mismanagement of his minutes throughout the season.

The midfielder played virtually every minute of football when available to Moyes. So, a burnout towards the end of the season was only natural.

However, to hear Dewsbury-Hall slam the way Everton ended their season is exactly what is needed.

Everton should not accept a run of seven Premier League games without a win, especially when European football was there for the taking.

Moyes’ own comments on Everton’s end to the season have not washed with a lot of the supporters.

A harsh approach is needed back at Finch Farm if Everton are going to see any improvement over the coming months ahead of the new campaign.

It is clear that Dewsbury-Hall has brought the right mentality to the club, but it has to be shared by everyone behind the scenes.
