Everton will soon be welcoming players back from the summer break, but there are no new faces yet to join the club.

David Moyes has been handed the permanent signing of Carlos Alcaraz following his positive loan spell on Merseyside.

But the Friedkins are yet to make any new signings for Everton as the first month of the window nears its conclusion.

Everton are expected to be busy in July as the new owners on Merseyside await the new PSR window to open up.

An interesting summer lies ahead for the Toffees and Everton are looking to sign a new full-back, with a number of options on the radar.

Everton are monitoring Kyle Walker-Peters as he is available on a free transfer this summer, and he has now been spotted training with a former Toffee.

Kyle Walker-Peters spotted training with former Everton star

On Thursday, Southampton announced Walker-Peters would leave as a free agent this summer, with numerous clubs interested.

This will provide Everton with an opportunity to take advantage of the free agency market as they prepare for numerous players to depart at the end of the month.

Adding fuel to the fire over a potential move to Merseyside, Walker-Peters has now been spotted training ahead of a move alongside Dele.

The former Everton midfielder is still playing his football with Serie A side Como, and is known to be good friends with Walker-Peters.

Although Dele’s time at Goodison Park did not work out, perhaps the midfielder could put in a good word for the Blues to the defender.

However, there is a major hurdle to overcome for Everton as Tottenham Hotspur are keen to re-sign Walker-Peters.

The Toffees will have to convince Walker-Peters that a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium could offer him more regular football than in north London.

Everton face full-back frustration this summer

Ever since he returned to Merseyside in January, Moyes has wanted to sign a new full-back for Everton.

This summer will finally see the Blues address that need but Angus Kinnear is already facing a major headache in the market.

Fulham are now trying to keep Kenny Tete around after offering him an improved contract following Everton’s three-year proposal.

Adding to the competition for Walker-Peters, the Toffees have their work cut out for them in landing their targets.
