Since the Friedkin Group completed their Everton takeover in December, the club have been on an upward trajectory.
The bold decision to sack Sean Dyche last month has been vindicated as David Moyes has now moved Everton 13 points clear of the relegation zone.
Moyes has won four of his first six Premier League games in charge and some have even tipped his side to finish in the top 10 come May.
The Friedkin’s have also been improving recruitment behind the scenes as they’ve hired new scouts at youth level to improve the academy.
The American investors are in the market for a permanent CEO, too, and with that said, it’s just come to light that Everton are in talks to appoint Leeds chief Angus Kinnear.
Leeds fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the news and they’re all saying the same thing.

Leeds fans happy that Angus Kinnear could be joining Everton
It’s fair to say, judging by the social media reaction, Leeds fans are pretty pleased Angus Kinnear could be leaving for Everton.
“I would drive him there myself,” @El_Loco_Whites posted.
“Yes please Everton. Interesting how the 49ers Rangers link and this have come out in the last 24 hours. Could they be selling after Promotion,” @lufcMM0 added.
@AIILeedsArentWe posted: “He’s the last of the bad bunch that’s still around now and most fans been wanting him gone for ages.”
@jamesmoorelufc commented: “PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN PLEEEEEEEASE!”
“He has given some genuinely pathetic answers/outlandish statements and is still stained by his association with our previous Owner and DoF You won’t find many Leeds fans who think of him positively,” @jonesyd95 explained.
@McClumsy84 said: “Bye Angus. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
Kinnear would bring better communication with Everton fans
Whilst Kinnear clearly doesn’t have the best reputation among Leeds fans, most will acknowledge that his communication is very good.
The CEO has been on multiple Leeds fan channels and always comes across as pretty level-headed and transparent.
That’s been missing at Everton for a number of years, so if he does make the switch to Merseyside, that’ll certainly be welcomed.
At this stage, there’s been no further word on how advanced the talks are, but either way, Kinnear won’t join until the summer at the earliest.
Colin Chung remains Everton’s interim CEO.
