Leicester City considering appointing former Everton boss as Steve Cooper’s replacement

Everton aren’t the only side with managerial issues in the Premier League, as Leicester City decided to sack Steve Cooper on Sunday afternoon.

Leicester City currently find themselves one point and one place below Everton after 12 games.

It was defeat to Chelsea and former boss Enzo Maresca at the King Power Stadium that proved to be the final straw, with relegation already a worry.

With Everton only a point better off, perhaps some movement could be on the cards at Goodison Park if things don’t improve, especially as the Friedkin Group are conducting a review.

Interestingly, a former Everton boss is being eyed by Leicester City, though he’s not the only one as there are a number of candidates.

David Moyes being considered to replace Steve Cooper at Leicester City

David Moyes has been out of a job since he left West Ham United.

However, he left the English capital with a trophy to his name as the Hammers lifted the Europa Conference League prior to Declan Rice’s exit.

He’s now looking to get back into management if the perfect opportunity arises, and Leicester City may be looking to take advantage of that.

According to Rudy Galetti, David Moyes is a name under consideration by Leicester City, though Ruud van Nistelrooy is the priority target for the Foxes.

David Moyes wanted by the Friedkin Group at Everton

David Moyes is on the radar of the Friedkin Group, according to the Sun.

It’s claimed that the prospective new owners have him as their favoured man to replace Sean Dyche if things go south at Goodison Park.

And it’s thought that returning to Merseyside would be something that Moyes is open to, though it depends on what the aims of the new owners are.
