Sean Dyche has left many Everton fans annoyed with one comment he made in particular, after the latest defeat to Bournemouth.
Everton fell to a 1-0 loss against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, with David Brooks’ goal the difference on the day.
The Toffees again failed to score a goal, meaning it’s now eight occasions in the last 10 games that Everton haven’t scored.
The situation is very alarming.
Everton must find a way of scoring goals, otherwise a relegation battle will be a certainty.
It is now shaping up to be a huge month for The Friedkin Group following their recent takeover.
The Friedkin Group have backed Sean Dyche, but pressure has cranked up significantly over the last couple of weeks, with many feeling that a managerial change is now needed.
Recently, there have just been even more signs that Dyche may not be the man to turn things around.
Dyche said after the defeat to Nottingham Forest that the Everton players did the opposite of what he asked, which set alarm bells ringing for many.
That public dig at the players did not go down well with a lot of fans.
But after yesterday’s defeat to Bournemouth, Dyche again left many supporters enraged and bewildered with a comment he made about the club’s recent results.
What Sean Dyche said after Everton’s defeat to Bournemouth

Everton are on a very poor run in the Premier League.
It’s now just one win in the last 11 for Everton, but Dyche was not overly concerned about recent results, saying inexplicably: “We had so many draws. And the run still, not really, on paper, a bad run if you add wins in it. But we haven’t had wins.”
Everton fans blast Sean Dyche
On social media, the comment Dyche made about the run of results not being so bad has gone down really poorly.
Some really feel this is a completely delusional take from the manager.
Ultimately, it’s about how many points you actually take, and Everton have taken just nine points from a possible 33 over the last 11 matches in the Premier League.
Dyche’s excuses are tiresome, Everton are in serious trouble
Patience has been wearing thin for months for Everton fans over Dyche, and many are now sure he’s not the man to take Everton forward.
TFG have backed Dyche, but the new owners may well have to make a decision they really wouldn’t have wanted to make.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 12 | 19 | 7 | 3 | 9 | 33 | 35 | -2 | 24 | |
| 13 | 19 | 6 | 5 | 8 | 23 | 35 | -12 | 23 | |

| 20 | 19 | 1 | 3 | 15 | 12 | 39 | -27 | 6 |
But the situation is extremely precarious.
Under this manager, Everton don’t score goals. And it’s not sustainable to set up to defend and nick games by one goal, since there is little to no attacking threat.
While it’s always a risk to change managers at this point in the season, TFG must now seriously consider that course of action, with relegation a real possibility.
