The game on the south coast between Bournemouth and Everton was threatened by cold weather earlier in the week, but it went ahead.
After what they saw in the 90 minutes, some Everton fans will have been wishing that was not the case.
The Athletic journalist Patrick Boyland was in the press box at the Vitality Stadium and shared the joking chant heard directed from the home fans.
“How do you watch this every week?” sang the Bournemouth fans towards the visitors on Saturday afternoon.
Everton are looking to sign a new forward this month and that need may have been made even more clear after Armando Broja went off through injury.

Everton have been praised for their set pieces this season, but their general play has left a lot to be desired.
That can be seen through their mere three victories in the Premier League this term during the opening 19 games.
