Doors appear to be opening for Everton late on in the winter transfer window.
A late move for Jhon Duran looks possible after Fenerbahce removed him from the squad for reasons related to a potential transfer.
A new right-back could arrive too, as Everton hold fresh talks with Genoa over Brooke Norton-Cuffy.
However, a right-back Everton bid for before targeting the England U21 international in Emil Holm has now become available, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
What should be Everton’s top priority before the deadline on Monday? 😬
The clock is ticking… ⏰
Bologna decide to sell Emil Holm two weeks after Everton bid
Back in the middle of January, a story from Corriere di Bologna claimed that Everton had bid for Holm – the offer was said to be worth an undisclosed amount of cash and Nathan Patterson too.
That saga then went cold as rumours involving Norton-Cuffy began to warm up instead, but now, Tutto Mercato Web believe Bologna are ready to sell the Sweden international before the 5pm transfer deadline on Monday.
The Italian news outlet say Vincenzo Italiano – manager of Bologna – has been left unimpressed by recent performances from Holm, and his status within the squad has now changed from ‘unsellable’ as a result.
So, if talks with Genoa over Norton-Cuffy hit a wall, Everton can turn to an option they seemingly wanted before the former Arsenal defender.
A different Everton player could be used to do business with Bologna
Since allegedly being offered to Bologna earlier this month, Patterson has enjoyed a run in the team and impressed under David Moyes.
Those displays may have saved the Scotland international, as Beto may now be sent to Bologna in exchange for Holm instead.
Bologna Sports News believe Bologna would like to sign Beto, and with Everton willing to let the Guinea-Bissau international leave, a swap deal could now be on.
There are so many to choose from! 🫣
Jean-Philippe Gbamin is surely in your top three… 😫
However, that may all depend on whether the Toffees can sign Duran – or a different striker – to replace Beto, so there is plenty for Everton fans to keep an eye on before Monday’s 5pm deadline.
