One former Everton boss is in the news at the moment as Manchester United have already made an approach for him as they look to replace Erik ten Hag.

Everton don’t have any managerial worries of their own at the moment, with things going swimmingly, despite a disappointing performance in the 1-1 draw with Fulham .

The Friedkin Group reportedly had Maurizio Sarri lined up to replace Sean Dyche ahead of the takeover, but those rumours have gone silent as the Everton boss has rallied his troops.

Interestingly, Dyche has already spoken out about his future, stating that he’s just focused on getting results on the field and the rest will handle itself.

However, one former Everton boss’ future is now a little more uncertain, as Manchester United have supposedly made an approach after sacking Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United approach Marco Silva to replace Erik ten Hag

Marco Silva was only at Goodison Park at the weekend to watch his side play out a 1-1 draw against Everton, with Beto saving the day for the Toffees.

To be fair to Silva, he was really honest when asked about his time as Everton boss, stating it was an honour and how Goodison Park is a special place.

His efforts at Fulham so far this season could yet be rewarded, as Manchester United have their eye on him possibly becoming their new boss.

According to Guillem Balague, the Red Devils have already made the approach for him.

Marco Silva’s time at Everton

Marco Silva was the Everton boss for 18 months, but ended up being sacked with his team in the relegation zone following a 5-2 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Interestingly, Silva actually has a higher points-per-game ratio than Sean Dyche at Everton.

Dyche averages 1.29 points per game from his 73 games in charge of the Toffees, whilst Silva averaged 1.38 points per game in his 60 games at the helm.

Fulham currently find themselves three points ahead of Everton in the table on 12 points.
