Everton’s squad is set for a major overhaul this summer transfer window.
The Friedkin Group are ready to hand David Moyes a healthy budget as they aim to return Everton to Europe.
The Toffees are already in talks to sign Thierno Barry, who is expected to cost around £33m from Villarreal.
Stade Reims frontman Adama Bojang emerged as an Everton target over the weekend, as did a former Manchester United star.
With that said, here’s what Marcus Rashford has previously said about the Everton target.

Marcus Rashford said Everton target Fred is ‘unreal’
Everton are eyeing former Manchester United midfielder Fred this summer transfer window, as Moyes looks to replace Orel Mangala and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
It’s being reported that the Turkish club, who are managed by Jose Mourinho, would be willing to sanction his sale for around £15m.
The 32-year-old was a regular in Mourinho’s midfield last term and actually enjoyed a really productive year, registering 13 goal contributions.
- 45 appearances
- 5 goals
- 8 assists
Fred’s former teammate Rashford was a big admirer of his, labelling him ‘unreal’ after a performance against Manchester City back in 2019.
Everton can do better than Fred
Everton fans really don’t want Fred and it certainly does feel like a really underwhelming potential addition.
The Toffees should opt for a younger alternative, like Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer or Manchester City’s James McAtee.
Pep Guardiola is willing to send McAtee to Everton for around £25m, whilst Hamer is thought to be available for £20m.
Sunderland’s teenage wonderkid Chris Rigg has been linked, but he seems unattainable following their promotion.
