The Masters has now begun, but England’s Tommy Fleetwood will have one eye on Everton’s result on Saturday.

That is, of course, if he makes the cut, but the major name in golf is a renowned Everton fan.

Fleetwood admitted he’s excited for Bramley-Moore Dock, with the club making the historic move over the summer.

An emotional goodbye is set for Goodison Park, but fans may not be too impressed by the potential plans from the Premier League.

It has been suggested Goodison Park’s finale could be held on a Monday night as Southampton face the final trip ever to be made to L4.

But the English golfer – who has his eyes on the green jacket – has issued a message to his fellow Everton supporters ahead of the final games at their historic home.

Bramley-Moore Dock promises to transform Everton’s finances, but it will not hold the same historic sentiment as Goodison does.

In time, the Toffees will hope to make the new stadium really feel like home, but the focus now is just on enjoying the remaining weeks at Goodison.

Speaking ahead of The Masters, Fleetwood shared his thoughts on leaving the Old Lady behind for Bramley-Moore Dock.

“It is sad, but I think we should all – like I’ve never been able to go to Goodison Park as much as I’d like. I’ve always traveled all my life. I always loved going there, got some amazing memories from that place, like so many other fans will have,” he said.

“I think we have to enjoy this time now, got, what, [three] games left at Goodison? I think enjoy it. Everyone can have a cry on the last night, and that will be an amazing night, a really emotional night.”

“I think we have to look forward and be positive about the future and have an amazing stadium we’re walking into. So really enjoy this period and get excited about the next stages of whatever the future holds for everyone in the football club. But I’m looking forward to it.”

Fleetwood is not alone, even Jamie Carragher is excited to see Bramley-Moore Dock, with the Liverpool legend keen to see how it benefits the city.

But Everton will be keen to see the Old Lady go off in style and fans will be hoping for some big plans for the finale.

What time does Tommy Fleetwood tee off at The Masters?

The Everton supporter will be hoping to pull off his own piece of history this weekend by getting his hands on his first piece of silverware on the PGA Tour.

Fleetwood has tied for third in The Masters previously and his 2025 efforts will get underway at 6:34pm on Thursday, 10 April.

The 34-year-old will be hoping he is still in contention on Saturday, which will mean he’ll miss Everton’s trip to the City Ground.

However, he’ll likely be keen to keep on top of the score if he is playing the historic course over the weekend.
