Everton moved out of the relegation zone on Saturday as they defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have endured a really tough start to the season and there was talk of dismissing Sean Dyche once the new ownership had come in.

However, that pressure has now eased and the feel-good factor around the blue half of Merseyside has certainly returned.

With that said, Micah Richards has just issued his prediction on whether Everton will avoid relegation this term.

Micah Richards says Everton will avoid relegation

Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Micah Richards said Everton have actually played well this season and doesn’t expect them to be in any danger of going down.

“I just think with Everton, I wasn’t worried for Everton because they know they’ve got the grit and determination coming from Sean Dyche.

“If you actually watch their games this season, they’ve played very well. I was at their game against Brighton and in the first-half, they should’ve been two or three up.

“We had the Bournemouth game where they were two nil up and it was late goals and they find a way to score.

“They’ve got Branthwaite back now, who’s been out, Everton will be fine.”

Everton must keep Sean Dyche

Everton were linked with Gareth Southgate last week as there was talks of the Friedkin Group searching for Dyche’s successor.

That talk must end now. The former Burnley boss is the right manager to guide them away from danger and stabilise things ahead of the move to Bramley Docks.

A favourable run of fixtures lies ahead, too.
