Everton fans crashed back down to earth yesterday as their side were beaten 2-0 by Nottingham Forest.
Sean Dyche has done well to keep things tight against some strong opposition over the past month, but things didn’t go to plan at Goodison last time out.
Everton were back to being sloppy out of possession and lacked any kind of punch in the final third, with Nottingham Forest taking advantage on the counter attack.
Armando Broja was the one main change for the Toffees as he got the nod to lead the line, which is something that didn’t please Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fiancé.
However, one man who has been impressed by a couple of Everton players in recent weeks is Micah Richards.
Micah Richards really impressed by Iliman Ndiaye and Orel Mangala
Orel Mangala has been a regular under Sean Dyche and it comes as no surprise as one of the most consistent performers for the Toffees.
It’s a similar story for Iliman Ndiaye, who is often the only player offering any kind of spark in the final third and even scored a wonderful goal against Manchester City recently.

Speaking on the Rest is Football, Micah Richards singled out Orel Mangala and Iliman Ndiaye for some praise after their recent performances.
“You know who’s really impressed me the last couple of weeks, Mangala in midfield and Ndiaye. It’s just the final bit with Ndiaye now. He looks really good, gets on the ball, he’s got a drop of his shoulder.
“I know he scored that wonderful goal against Manchester City.”
It’s hard to disagree with Micah Richards
Orel Mangala is only on loan, so Everton have a big decision to make in the summer and the midfielder could be available on the cheap given Lyon’s financial situation.
He’s done enough to warrant a future at Goodison Park right now, but it will all depend on the Friedkin Group’s view on things as we move into the summer.
Ndiaye is a superstar and we know it.
There’s never a day when you have to worry about Ndiaye not turning up in the blue shirt as he always gives his all, and he’s now starting to show that killer instinct in front of goal.
